Are the Rangers running out of patience with Kreider, or just some of the fanbase? |

In all seriousness how is Kreider considered still a prospect while JT Miller isn't? Buchnevich at 3 is a joke. - blacksheep1
This is basically Kreiders third season? Hes like the longest reigning rookie in the league |

It is a bit unusual? Wonder what the criteria is? Still think he's going to be good. If I was a ranger fan I'd be hoping the team doesn't give up on him. |

But he has played somewhat the last three years? Why did Torts keep moving him back to the minors. Dumb move by him. Either keep him up or leave him down. |

I think this is a make or break year for him. Kind of like Poulin. |

I viewed bust out as the positive not negative connotation of the word, meaning explode on the scene not fizzle out. |

Think 25 regular season games may have been the cut off, why Miller was not on the list buit Kreider still can be. Also, remember in Torts' system, defense came first, which is why he may have struggled. Under AV, with offensive and defensive zone match ups and focus, Kreider should see lots of time in the opponents zone. If he doesn't make it now, then it may be time to major-league downgrade him. |

It's definitely not a make or break year for him. This will be Kreiders FIRST NHL training camp and second full year as pro. It's odd how NHL still considers him a rookie but hey do since playoff appearances don't count. Last season was a mess for a lot of people and Torts didn't have much patience with him, considering the team was so up and down and fighting to even make the playoffs I'm not surprised. He needs to play top 6 minutes and I think he's a lock to make the team in that spot, he'll at least have to fill in with Hagelin and Cally missing and we'll find out if he sticks. I also think Kreider is closer than Miller is for a regular spot. |

What I meant was a make or break year for him as a Ranger. If he downgrades or stays the same, Sather will probably trade him. |

Yeah i guess you're right as long as he gets the opportunity to succeed(as far as ice time and decent players on his line). I think you're also right about him fitting into AV's up tempo style. Kid has some wheels and decent hands. I think you guys may see a different Kreider this year( ). |

Yeah maybe, i think he has a longer leash though considering the impact he made in the playoffs for us in 2012. Sather hasn't really been trading our best prospects recently and given them sometime. He's really the only goal scoring power forward type that's close to being ready. I don't see anyone else for 2-3 years in our system that's comperable to him. I personally think Miller will be a Mike Richards or Dubynski type player so more of a two way forward with less goal scoring talent so Kreider will get all the chances to stick. |

I'd really love to see him get a chance to play with Stepan or Nash, they seemd to have some chemistry but never really played together enough with Torts short leash this year.
Outside of Nash, we don't have another sniper type player and Kreider has shown glimpses of that, so fingers are crossed he'll be utilized better. One thing I couldn't stand was Torts constant line juggling. |

Good point, makes you wonder if miller is still having issues with that wrist. |

He didn't play a game in the 11-12 reg season, his first NHL game was in the Ottowa series, so no way he could have been considered a rookie that yr, last yr was lockout & he was up & down 20 times. I know you know this, don't know why I chose to quote you.
So, how ya doin? |
